Premium Glass Solar Roof Tile
Lumina Slate
A double-glass BIPV tile line engineered for high-end villas, heritage-sensitive roofs and architecture-led projects where aesthetics and performance must coexist.
How the System Works
Active Tiles + Inactive Tiles
Every Lumina Slate roof uses a mix of power-generating active tiles and matching non-generating inactive tiles. This is what makes the roof look uniform while generating electricity.
Active Solar Tile
70W monocrystalline PERC double-glass active tile with dark slate-grey frosted glass appearance.
Inactive Tiles (3 Sizes)
Three sizes of non-generating glass tiles — half (uncuttable), half (cuttable), and quarter — allow any roof geometry to be completed with a uniform appearance. No visible difference from the active tiles.
Complete System
Component Library
Every component in the Lumina Slate system is factory-produced and supplied together. No sourcing gaps, no compatibility surprises on site.
Core Tiles
70W monocrystalline PERC double-glass active tile with dark slate-grey frosted glass appearance.
Pre-sized glass dummy tile for staggered layout, matching the active tile appearance.
Cuttable inactive tile for on-site layout completion and edge areas.
Quarter-sized inactive tile for tight spaces and roof layout completion.
Trim & Flashing
Toughened glass ridge tile that covers and seals the roof peak while matching the tile appearance.
Edge tile for finishing sloping roof edges with matching anti-glare tempered glass.
Base support for the first row and water deflector with integrated drainage.
Weatherproofing aluminum strip for vertical roof joints.
Aluminum valley flashing that channels water runoff at roof intersections.
Adaptable sealing roll for complex joints and transitions.
Breathable weather seal for the roof ridge.
Accessories & Base Layer
Stainless steel base wrapped in rubber layer for typhoon-resistant anchoring without drilling.
Galvanized steel bracket for holding ridge structure.
High-performance butyl rubber sealing tape for waterproof joints and eave support details.
Composite aluminum foil and waterproof layer for heat reflection and roof base support.
Primary roof base waterproof layer for sloped roof build-up.
Corrosion-resistant treated wood battens arranged by local roof teams to support tiles and drainage.
Standard MC4-compatible connector for tile-to-tile electrical connections.

Real Project Evidence
These are completed, installed projects — not renders. Every image is from an actual Lumina Slate installation.
A high-end villa project in a scenic area where conventional solar panels were not acceptable visually. The legacy case is valuable because it explains the commercial reason for BIPV: the roof needed to generate power while preserving the premium character of the property.
Nanjing Nanshan Lake Resort
A resort villa case where roof color, roof geometry and rain-management details mattered as much as power generation. This is a useful case for hospitality and scenic-property buyers who cannot accept a visually disruptive solar installation.
Beijing New World Lizun
This compact villa project demonstrates how Lumina Slate can be applied to a mid-sized residential roof where the owner needed both clean aesthetics and meaningful solar output. The original legacy case focused on the roof build-up beneath the visible solar tiles, especially the batten structure and waterproof underlayment.
Installation Evidence
How It Goes On the Roof
Three-phase installation process documented from real project sites. These are not animations — they are actual installation footage.
Roof Base Preparation
Waterproof breathable membrane, foil radiant barrier and treated wood battens are laid before any tile is placed.
Tile Installation
Active and inactive tiles are laid in an overlapping staggered pattern. Wind uplift clips anchor each tile without drilling.
Solar Wiring
MC4 connectors link tiles in series. All wiring runs under the tile layer — invisible from the exterior.

Tested on Camera
The Lumina Slate active tile is tested to resist 35mm hailstone impact. Watch the actual test footage — not a spec sheet claim.
